Work Work Work!

I’ve had a very unique career. I actually graduated as an Engineer, Electrical Engineering to be precise. I did work for 5 years and did my duty and got my Professional Engineer certification. Yup I have an iron ring!

But I wanted to live my passion and that lead me to my career in television. I did volunteer in tv while I was an engineer. Worked at night as volunteer for Rogers TV on Toronto Living and Rushes that covered lifestyle and entertainment. I covered my first TIFF and that’s when I met Brad Pitt!

But the point that ended my career in Engineering and started in TV was when I started as a weather specialist at the Weather Network, perfect fit science and tv together! Also, there is no where else you can get so much ad-lib time on tv. I learned so much.

After a year at The Weather Network I started at Citytv as a weekend weather anchor. I got to work at the Chum building, how cool! But Citytv was the place that I was moulded into a tv personality. Not only did I do weather for Citytv and 680News but I did a lifestyle segment called ‘In the City’, covered Live-eyes on Breakfast television as well covered weather. After the 24 hours channel launched we introduce Entertainment City. And that’s where my love for entertainment began!

Through it all I did a lot of hosting for events because I just loved entertaining people. I’m known for my brilliant jokes!

After being at Rogers for 5 years it was time for a change. About 3 years ago I left Citytv and joined (ET Canada). First, I covered a 6 month maternity leave and was able to co-host on of the most watched entertainment show in Canada, it was incredible. Thereafter I was blessed to stay on the ET Canada family.

So much has happened in the last 3 years, worked on some of my first big campaigns with (Shoppers Drug Mart), President Choice, (L’oreal) and other great campaigns.

Something incredible happened in September 2015 I became the host of a brand new show on HGTV Canada (Home To Win). I have never worked so hard in my career like I have in the last 6 months. It has been glorious!
